Biodiversity Net Gain Services

Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) ensures that development will result in more or better quality natural habitat. It ensures biodiversity is measurably enhanced by development by at least 10%.

BNG is a Statutory requirement. Before development can commence, a draft Biodiversity Gain Plan must be submitted which details how the 10% objective will be met through a Net Gain Condition.

The Biodiversity Gain is then finalised pre-commencement.

In effect, habitats are scored and it’s a simple before and after assessment. Whilst it’s related to Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and Ecological Impact Assessment, it is a separate decision-making process.

Our experienced ecologists can talk the project team through this assessment. Often, we work closely with Landscape Architects to fine tune outputs, minimise costs, and streamline delivery.

As the requirement is new and ever evolving, we are offering free Biodiversity Net Gain presentations for our clients. Please contact us if you would like a presentation.
