Oldbury-on-Severn, South Gloucestershire
Our client was intending to submit a planning application for the renovation and extension of their property, including the removal and replacement of the roof tiles. A key constraint for this project was the M-shaped double gabled roof, which obscured views of the inner ridge line of the roof.

National Grid Southwest Development Project
We are the appointed ecologist for National Grid Electricity Distribution strategic redevelopment of the Devon and Cornwall electric grid. We continue to support several of their projects, with many recently receiving planning permission and subsequent discharge of conditions.

Waltham St. Lawrence, Berkshire
Luscinia Ecology were trusted to handle the ecological inputs in relation to a planning application to demolish existing single-storey parts of the property to allow for the replacement with a two-storey extension to all elevations of the property. Survey work confirmed the presence of a brown long-eared maternity roost within the loft.

19-unit residential scheme, Ottershaw, Surrey
The approved development include the construction of 19 residential units, with associated access, parking, and landscaping. A wildlife corridor was provided along the southern boundary of the Site to protect the adjacent ancient woodland.

Upper Seagry, Wiltshire
Luscinia Ecology were trusted to handle the ecological inputs in relation to a planning application to demolish five existing farm buildings to facilitate the delivery of a number of residential units. Our survey work confirmed the presence of a Lesser Horseshoe Bat roost within one of the structures to be demolished.

Bowden Hill, Wiltshire
Our client had submitted a planning application for the renovation and extension of their property. This project was last minute. As a result, our client needed survey work undertaken and reported promptly. We engaged with the project team, quoted, and were on Site within two working days.

Emergency Housing Project, Bristol
We provided the ecological support to this project to assist in delivering emergency housing for Bristol City Council and others. Surveys undertaken include Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments at seven sites in the southwest and we’ve been instructed for a further three.
