Ecological Impact Assessment

This report is the industry standard for more complex Sites. It includes an assessment of all the ecological survey data gathered as part of a planning application. This typically includes the desk study, Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey, Protected Species Surveys, and various maps and plans. Many planning applications are supported by an Ecological Impact Assessment.

The assessment is based on a final layout or fixed set of parameters within an illustrative layout. The report is a methodical, industry standard review of the effects of the Proposed Development on ecology. Don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your specific requirements. The aim of the report is to secure planning permission. This is achieved by demonstrating that the development has dealt with all the ecological constraints and sought to maximise the ecological opportunities.

The data search, Habitat Survey and Protected Species Surveys have all been completed. These surveys can span an entire year but typically run between March – October.

The surveys are supported by maps and plans which set our the results and any mitigation requirements.

One of our experienced ecologists produces a full report which will methodically assess and summarise the data search and surveys of the Site in line with industry good practice. The report will be fully aligned with the project brief and development scope.

Throughout the project’s development and design, our ecologists will have advised the project team on how to limit the scope and impact of the ecological constraints. We’ll have advised on the likelihood and content of any planning conditions and the effects of any post submission/pre-construction requirements. Your team will have been armed with all the information they need to help with the next stages of the development process.
